Active Manager is designed for guiding companies and activity operators: departures with capacity, a qualified guide on every trip, equipment, pick-ups and waivers in one plan, and every hour guided turned into pay.

Designed for the way guiding works

Canyoning, rafting, kayaking, backcountry and snowshoe tours, hiking, climbing or outdoor education: Active Manager is designed for any activity sold as time with a guide, with the departure, the guide, the equipment, the pick-up and the waiver in one plan.

Departures with capacity

Every departure, with the places it has left

Each departure has its capacity, and online, desk and partner bookings all draw on the same places. If there’s space, the booking is confirmed and paid on the spot; if not, it comes to your team to approve.

  • Day trips and multi-day programmes
  • Online, desk and partner bookings against the same availability
  • The trip, its equipment and transport on one booking
  • Unpaid bookings get reminders, and are released if they stay unpaid

Guide qualifications

A qualified guide on every trip

The staff schedule: instructors and guides in rows, with lessons, working days and days off across the week.

Every guide’s qualifications are on their profile, beside their availability and days off. For each departure, see who’s free and qualified, and every trip still without a guide, from today to six months out.

  • Qualifications on every guide’s profile
  • Season rosters, availability and days off
  • Every trip still without a guide, from today to six months out
  • Move a group to another guide with drag and drop

Equipment and rentals

Sizes in with the booking

The rental form on a guest’s phone: each guest’s tour date and what is booked for them, a backpack, an avalanche safety kit and touring skis.

Equipment sizes are collected when guests book, with each guest’s age, ability, medical and dietary notes and an emergency contact. The equipment can be ready before the group arrives, and the guide can see who is renting what.

  • Equipment sizes collected at booking
  • Rental on the same booking as the trip
  • Guests can correct or add details for everyone in their group before they arrive

Pick-ups and transport

The pick-up on the booking, not on a separate list

The transport form on a guest’s phone: yes to a pick-up, the time and the pick-up point, and who needs a seat.

Transport goes on the same booking as the trip, so the pick-up sits beside the trip and the equipment. Your team sees the meeting points, equipment and pick-ups for every group, and when the weather changes the plan, you message every affected guest in one go.

  • Transport on the same booking as the trip
  • Meeting points, equipment and pick-ups for every group
  • Message every affected guest in one go

Waivers, minors included

Signed before the group arrives

A waiver open on a guest’s phone: the terms, then the guest’s name, age and date, and their signature on the pad.

Guests sign the waiver on their own phone before the day, and a parent or guardian signs for anyone under 18. Your team, and each guide on their phone, can see who has signed.

  • Digital waivers, signed on the guest’s phone
  • A parent or guardian signs for under-18s
  • Waiver status on every booking
  • Printed group tickets with a QR code to the waiver
  • At the desk, the waiver goes up on a screen facing the guest

Hotel and agent sales

Sell through hotels, lodges and agents

Each hotel, lodge or agent books through its own link and sees its own bookings, against the same places as your own. Commission or invoices are worked out for every partner booking.

  • Each partner books through its own link
  • Partners have their own login, and see their own bookings
  • Commission or invoices, depending on the partner
  • 45 partners sold Canyons’ lessons last winter (2025–26)

Each guide’s day on their phone

The whole day, on the guide’s own phone

A guide’s own day on their phone: a backcountry tour from 08:00 to 16:00 with the four guests’ names and ages, their level, the meeting place and whether the waiver is signed.

Guides sign in on their own phone with a one-time code, with nothing to install. They see their trips and shifts with the times, the group, the location and waiver status, plus each guest’s contact details, their rentals and the booking itself.

  • Times, group and location for every trip
  • Waiver status for every guest
  • Contacts, rentals and the booking
  • No password, and nothing to install
